FADP | The Classic Mac vs. PC Debate

From a Different Perspective:

Mac vs. PC much? It seems as if every minute of every day on thousands of forums across the world, a tiny child (in the intelectual sense… ages can range from 7-50) starts a thread stating that one is better than the other. They proceed to create of an overly-biased list of pros and cons for each, followed by a blindly prejudice series of paragraphs bashing their least favorite option. Never are these threads well thought-out, well organized, or evenly representative of both sides. Never. That is due, however, to the motivation behind the topic start. I am going to show the debate from a different perspective. (Ahhhh you see what I did there?)

Macs are for people who want what Macs have to offer, and PCs are for people who want what the PC has to offer. It’s as simple as that. Of COURSE a PC user is going to think Mac’s are terrible, because if they were to buy one, it would be a terrible thing. And visa versa. It ALL boils down to a matter of opinion; The opinion of the individule at the computer store. Obviously “better” is completely relative to the parties involved. A low-cost PC with incredible graphics is going to be “better” that a lower-end (roughly as-expensive) mac for a gamer who enjoys titles only available for windows…. and likewise an iMac would be “better” than a stylish PS equivalent for a trendy creative studio that utilized the adobe suite, along with final cut or garage band. It’s totally relative, thus entirely useless to try and decide on ONE universal best.

The end.
